Before you begin, it is a good idea to check the market value of Moonshine via the “Y” menu to maximize your profits. It is also recommended that you bring at least 3 items of food and water to sustain yourself for the duration of the run. You will want to begin this criminal venture by purchasing or retrieving a truck from the garage located east of Pyrgos. After doing so, you will make the short drive south to the sugar cane field. "Over the years, control of the moonshine trade (and the enormous pools of wealth resulting from it) have shifted between the largest gangs ever known to Olympus."
Noahhh!

This is the optimized path for completing the moonshine run.
The sugar field.
The yeast field.
The corn field.
The moonshine processor.
The moonshine distributor.

Introduction

Moonshine is one of the easiest illegal items to complete once you are financially stable enough to afford armaments and large vehicles that will increase your profits. This run is very high risk/high reward, so you will want to be sure you can properly defend yourself from all threats before proceeding.

Starting the Run

Before starting this run, it is strongly recommended to check the price of moonshine for optimal profits and to follow the list below to make sure you have all the required equipment.

  • Food & Water
  • Bergen Backpack for space
  • A vehicle to store the Ingredients/Moonshine
  • Moonshine processing license ($54,000 at the processor)
  • The three ingredients needed for moonshine are sugar, yeast, and corn (one of each to make one piece of moonshine)

Gathering Sugar

Once you arrive, you will notice that the field is surrounded by a perimeter of trees and foliage that will conceal you from enemies. Here you will want to judge how much inventory space you have between your backpack and your truck. Each ingredient will take up 2 inventory slots, so you will want to plan the amount you will need to collect accordingly. Once you have collected the desired amount, you will want to head South towards the yeast field.

Gathering Yeast

Once you arrive you will notice that the field is very exposed, but nestled in a small, remote valley, which should prevent anyone from seeing you until they reach the top of the hills on either side of the field. Once you have collected the desired amount, you will continue on South towards the cornfield.

Gathering Corn

Once you arrive you won’t find any scarecrows or tall stalks of corn. The area around the field is dotted with small stone walls, but you will be hard-pressed to find any reliable cover to protect yourself. Once you have finished collecting this final ingredient, make the short drive south to the Moonshine processor.

Processing

Once you arrive at the processor, you will notice that there is a small compound with a forest on one side. You will most likely want to park your vehicle in the outlying forest if you plan to process out of your backpack or if you choose to process from your vehicle then you will need to park it near the center building. Once you are settled in and feel secure, you will want to take equal amounts of the three collected ingredients in order to turn them into moonshine. Players and vehicles must remain within 25m of the NPC in order for processing to be complete. If it is your first time processing moonshine, you will need to buy a moonshine processing license for $54,000 at the NPC in order to process it. Be sure to sync your new training by hitting ESC. Fortunately, there is a bonus for processing that will incrementally give you faster progress as you process more moonshine. You may also choose to process an entire vehicle full of raw materials into processed items. Players can select to process from a selected vehicle but multiple players may not process from the same vehicle. The time taken to process the inventory of the vehicle will be displayed and canceling processing will process all items up until the point of cancellation. Buffs gained from processing will also apply to the rate at which the vehicle is processed as well.

Selling

After you are done processing, it is best to leave the processor as quickly as possible and begin your way towards the Moonshine Distributor to the north. This will be an easily concealed journey so long as you stick to the coast and quickly sell your goods at the distributor. Once you are within a reasonable distance, it is also recommended that you try to scope the area out for anybody camping the dealer or already using it to sell drugs. To interact with the distributor, simply use your scroll wheel, double click the number of drugs you have in your inventory to select all of the Moonshine in your inventory, and click “sell.” Once you are done, deposit your money in the nearby Dorida ATM.

Payout

The average payout for a Moonshine run using a Box Truck and a Bergen (70 moonshine) is $764,820 for Moonshine. If your gang is in control of the cartel it will allow you to hold onto 15% more of the profits, which is otherwise paid as gang tax to the controlling gang.

Run Time

Using a tier 4 box truck, the run took 35-40 minutes.
