Introduction
The Altis Fire & Rescue is a team of first responders whose primary goal is to control and extinguish fires that threaten the safety and property of the citizens on Altis. Rescue and Recovery members who are Basic Paramedics or higher will be able to respond to fires across the map. R&R members will be notified through the dispatch that a building has caught fire and will display its location on the map. Fires need to be extinguished in time to prevent the building from collapsing.
How it Works/Reward
For a fire to begin there must be 3 medics online. For every two medics, an additional fire will spawn. When a fire has broken out on the map, R&R members will have the option to pull out their firefighting gear from the left NPC at any hospital and select either the fire truck (Tempest fuel) or the Taru fuel. Every building will require 600 gallons to be extinguished. Firefighters who choose to use the fire truck will have 100 gallons they can carry at a time and will have to refill from the fire truck using their windows key. To extinguish the fire you must look at it and pressing “Shift + H” will start the hose. Those who choose the Taru fuel will be able to carry 300 gallons of water. To dump the water on the fire the Taru must be hovering 20 meters above the fire and pressing “Shift + H” will begin the dumping. To refill the Taru, it needs to land back on the helipad and be refilled by the NPC. Once the fire has been extinguished, firefighting gear will need to be stored at the hospital before returning to normal medic duties.
Medics can also refill the Taru Fuel by hovering over an ocean. Medics can be at any speed they like but must not turn their vehicle while filling. If the medic accidently cancels refilling progress will be saved.
The amount of water it takes to put out a fire depends on the size of the building. Base pay of $100,000 per house plus a percent increase the bigger the building. Total pay is split between the participating medics.
