The Scrap Metal obtained from scrapping items/vehicles.

Scrapping

  • Scrapping is the process of turning items such as Gear, Vehicles and Virtual Items into Scrap. Scrapping can be conducted at chop shops. Scrap is a virtual item with no weight. It can be stored in Houses, Vehicles and Player Inventories. Weapons gained from events (Evidence Locker, Blackwater, Airdrops and APD Escorts) will produce more scrap than their purchasable equivalent(s). You cannot scrap any Y-items related to runs such as ores, bars, drugs, etc.

  • How to Scrap:
    • Have a vehicle at a chop shop.
    • If your also wanting to scrap gear or virtual items put them in the vehicle.
    • Select chop shop in scroll wheel options.
    • Select either scrap inventory or scrap vehicle.
    • Wait for the timer to finish and then the item or vehicle will be deleted and Scrap will be given.

Note: Scrap a vehicle inventory first before scrapping the vehicle as it will delete the vehicle and not give Scrap for the items within.

  • Vehicle Scrapping Time
    • 1 minute for all vehicles
  • Gear/Virtual Scrapping Time
    • Scraping time is dependent on the value of the items being scrapped.
    • Maximum: 2 minutes
    • Minimum: 5 seconds
  • Scrapping Amount:
    • Scrapping yields 0.8% of the Item/Vehicles value as Scrap. For example, a $1,000 item will give you 8 Scrap.
    • If a vehicle is insured the scrap value will be 1/2 of it's normal amount

Blueprints

  • To purchase a blueprint head to any of the Blackmarkets and interact with the Auction House NPC, from there you'll be able to see all of the blueprints available to purchase.
  • Blueprints displayed in the Blackmarket Auction NPCs menus will either display as green for owned, white for unowned, and red for unpurchasable.
  • Blueprints are illegal.
  • Blueprints have a virtual weight of 1 and can be stored in any house or vehicle.
  • Blueprints can be resold for 40% of their original value.
  • Each Blueprint displays what items can be crafted in the Blueprint Shop Menu.
    • Blueprints are filtered by types (Ex: Vehicles, VTOLs, Armored Vehicles, Assault Rifles, Suppressors, Launchers, etc.)

Crafting

  • After purchasing the appropriate Blueprint and acquiring the right amount of scrap you can head to any of the abandoned factories on the map and begin crafting.
  • The Abandoned Factories are marked as Illegal Zones on the map.
  • Items the player do not have the Blueprint for are displayed in red and are inaccessible.
  • Players must have adequate Scrap in their inventory and the Blueprint of the selected item learned.
  • Players can select up to 100 Physical and Virtual items to craft at a time.
  • Only a single vehicle can be crafted at a time.
  • If a player doesn't have the Advanced Rebel license they cannot craft Advanced Rebel items.
  • Crafting takes place at the Crafting Box located in the Abandoned Factories.
    • Physical Items crafted will appear in the Physical Inventory.
    • Virtual Items crafted will appear in the trunk of the Crafting Box.
    • Vehicles crafted will be inserted directly into a player's garage.
    • Players must remain within 25M while crafting.
      • Moving out of this radius will cancel crafting and remove all progress.
  • Craft Value:
    • (Value / 100) * 1.15
  • Craft Time:
    • (Value / 100)
